The Meals on Wheels Calendar Project Story
Recently, we had a conversation with the volunteer coordinator at the Council on Aging of West Florida. They run the Meals on Wheels Program which delivers nutritious meals to seniors and handicapped people in our area.
Many of these people are pet lovers like us, and they often give the food intended for themselves to their pet instead. It is so important these people have the love and companionship a pet can bring. How many of us have gone without so our pet is taken care of?
That is why Pine Meadow needs to enlist your help! We would like to collect photos of our clients' pets and create a calendar with those photos. Bring them into the office or email them to pinemeadowveteri@bellsouth.net
The calendar will be available for sale via our website and in our office beginning November and all profits will go to pet food and supplies. These products will be distributed through the Meals on Wheels Program this holiday season. If you prefer to make a cash donation, please stop by our office and speak with the receptionist or one of the technicians.
PLEASE HELP US BRING HOPE AND JOY TO AS MANY PEOPLE AND PETS AS POSSIBLE!
We wish to thank you so much for the incredible response to this project! We have received many cash and food donations and well over a hundred photo submissions.
2011 Calendar Project: We want to thank everyone who participated in this project. We could not have done it without your help! Dr. Coy and Dr. Stafford delivered approximately 400 pounds of pet food and supplies to the Council on Aging of West Florida to be distributed to Meals on Wheels clients with pets. The sale of the calendar has generated over $900 so far. While we have sold out of the calendars at the clinic, you can still purchase them online HERE. Thank you, again, for teaming up with PMVC to make such a significant contribution to a wonderful organization. |
