We'd like to introduce ourselves and the pets we care for at home...
Dr. Lance Coy, D.V.M. and
Dr. Joy Stafford, D.V.M.
Dr. Coy and Dr. Stafford grew up in southern Louisiana. They both graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. GEAUX TIGERS! After graduation, they worked in a south Florida practice until purchasing Pine Meadow Vet Clinic in 2005. Both doctors enjoy Pensacola. Dr. Coy is an avid fisherman and also enjoys scuba diving and wakeboarding. Dr. Stafford loves the beautiful beaches and the southern hospitality that Pensacola offers. They have several dogs, cats, and even a Ball Python – all of which were rescue pets.
Dr. Sabrina Hoffman, D.V.M.
Dr. Sabrina Hoffman joined us October 12, 2009. She is a graduate of Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine and attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate work. Dr. Hoffman has done a lot of work with rescue groups and brings a generous amount of surgical experience to the Pine Meadow team. She has a beautiful Golden Retriever named Molly and an orange tabby named C.J.
Dr. Leslie Tucker, D.V.M.
Dr. Tucker joined the PMVC Team in 2013. She is a graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and attended the University of Arizona for her Undergraduate degree. She enjoys running with her two dogs, Sierra and Pippa, and has taken advantage of learning to sail and canoe with her husband on the beautiful waters of Pensacola.
Office Manager, C.V.P.M.
Jen is originally from Jacksonville, FL but headed to Pensacola to attend University of West Florida where she majored in pre-professional Biology and ran varsity cross country. She graduated from the honors program in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She began working at Pine Meadow part time while going to school, and has since worked her way from kennel technician to Office Manager. She completed her Masters Degree in Administration in 2013 and is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager. She still enjoys running from time to time, but you can almost always find her at the gym. She has 4 cats; Luna, the new baby, Neo, the trouble maker, Rugrat the skittish kitty, and Socks the spaz. She also has 2 dogs; Yogert a purebred Norwich Terrier with energy to spare, and Smooches a loveable mutt adopted from the shelter who is close to being the best dog ever!
Nancy Marshall, Veterinary Technician
Nancy has been an integral part of the Pine Meadow staff since 2007. She assists the doctors with regular appointments as well as surgery. She manages routine maintenance around the clinic facilities and orders prescription pet foods every week. To further her knowledge she has participated in several veterinary training courses and plans to pursue a degree for Certified Veterinary Technician. Her love for animals and excellent work ethic make her an asset to our team. A native of Pensacola, when she’s not working she enjoys fishing, hunting, and camping. Nancy is kept company by 2 cats, Jethro and Cletus, which were both rescued and nursed back to health at Pine Meadow; and you may meet her little Chihuahua, Hot Mama, running around the clinic eager to greet people.
Tabatha O'Neal, Veterinary Technician
Tabatha was born in Pensacola, Florida but raised on a farm in Gateswood, Alabama around many small exotics, livestock and domestic animals. Today she continues her passion for animal care and education at Chipola College in the Pre-Vet Program. She has 3 dogs: Socks - a rescued Pit Mix, Lilly - a Weimaraner, and Suzie - a Blue Heeler. She also has Jody - a cockatiel, a turtle, and an assortment of fish. She has 2 young children that keep her very busy outside of work. She loves the outdoors, hanging on the beach or at the river, movie night and being with her family and friends. Tabatha is also a proud tribal member of the Poarch Creek Indians.
Holly Owen, Veterinary Technician
Holly came to Pine Meadow in February of 2010. She is a Pensacola local who attended Tate High School. While at Tate, she focused on business classes, but now thinks she would like to continue to pursue a career working in the animal medical field. Holly is looking forward to the Certified Veterinary Technician program that will be offered at Pensacola State College. She takes care for 3 dogs at home; Peetree, a chihuahua, Butters, a 6 year old Norwich Terrier, and Polly, a 2 year old Jack Russell mix. She is also our clinic cat, Fupoo's adopted mommy; always keeping her dressed in the latest fashion!
Amanda Chavers, Veterinary Technician
Amanda was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana and graduated from the University of Louisiana in 2007 with a BS in Agribusiness, and emphasis in Pre-Vet, minor in Animal Science, Agriculture Economics and Equine Science. She moved from the Baltimore/Washington D.C. where she operated a bed and breakfast and worked in several restaurants after getting an Associate of Arts degree in Professional Cooking. However, her love of animals led her to a position with the Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) where she acted as a liaison between medical, adoption and behavior managers. She and her husband live with five cats; Ed Munky, Loki, Miho, Unagi, and Rokusan. Tina and her husband are both artists; she designed the PMVC logo, website, and newsletters; he does private commissions and has worked behind the scenes on the t.v. show Castle.
PINE MEADOW CHARITY
Throughout the year, PMVC will do fund raising events for various charity organizations. In the past, we have raised money for the Escambia County Meals on Wheels Program, Tuscaloosa Tornado Survivors, Japan Tsunami Relief through the Red Cross, Forgotten Soldiers Foundation, and Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital. We would like to enable you donations to be tax deductible for you, so we have set up a foundation where you can make donations online. Click on this link: VETERINARY CARE FOUNDATION and select Florida as the state and C&S Veterinary Services DBA Pine Meadow Veterinary Clinic (Pensacola). Or, come to one of our annual charity dog wash events for fun and fund raising! PMVC is also involved with several local community projects by supporting local school sports teams, Northeast Pensacola Youth Association, Tate High School Band, GVMC Youth Group, Pensacola Follies, and ARC Gateway.
